Grilled Oysters with Chipotle Butter


These oysters are grilled outdoors and topped with a flavorful butter spiced with chipotle peppers in adobo sauce.


  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, minced
  • 1 pound oysters on the half shell


  1. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat and lightly oil the grate.
  2. Place butter in a small bowl. Stir in chipotle pepper and set aside.
  3. Grill oysters for 4 minutes. Transfer oysters to a plate. Spoon chipotle butter over the oysters and serve.
